File # 2019-51107
Between 6:50 am and 7 am, on Christmas Day, the Tim Horton's franchise located at 15 Wallace St was broken into. The business rarely closes but was closed for Christmas Eve and all of Christmas Day.
The attending officers were met by the manager of the business who indicated the drive through window had been pried open. Once the suspects were inside the business, an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the tills, along with a silver safe. Still photos of two suspects were obtained from video surveillance.
The suspects can be seen(pictures attached) entering the parking lot, with one pushing a bicycle. One of the two is wearing a black jacket, with a checkered hoody underneath, blue jeans, and black runners with a white stripe. The other suspect is much thinner and is wearing a grey hoodie and purple camo pants. It is clear that both are making deliberate attempts to conceal their faces from video surveillance. The suspect dressed in dark clothing and pushing a bike into the parking lot, later puts on a high visibility vest found inside the business, then wears it when leaving.
If you have any information on the identity of these two persons, please call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file # 2019-51107.
