File # 2020 Unsolved Crimes April 1st to April 7th

Nanaimo file # 2020-12497 Sometime overnight on Friday April 3rd, thieves stole a patio heater and connected propane tank, from the patio of a home in the 1600 block of Crescent View. 

Nanaimo file # 2020- 12807 Between 3 pm and 4 pm on Friday April 3rd, a Grey Roam Mountain bike with gel seat and saddle bags, was stolen from a bike stand, located in front of Save On Foods, Country Club Mall. Serial number of the bike is 4712878168671.

Nanaimo file #2020-12560 Between 12 pm and 2 am, on Saturday April 4th, thieves stole a brown telescope (no serial number provided) from an unlocked vehicle, parked in the 6200 block of Dover Road. The homeowner told police, the thief entered his property through an unlocked gate, that lead to the garage, where his unlocked vehicle was stored. If possible, ensure that gates leading to the rear of your property are locked.

Nanaimo file # 2020-12224 Sometime overnight on Saturday April 4th, thieves stole a pair of Mechanix gloves, from a vehicle left unlocked, in the 2300 block of Rosstown Road.

Nanaimo file # 2020-12248 Sometime overnight on Friday April 3rd, a vehicle left unlocked and parked in the 200 block of Cypress St was broken into. Taken was light beige Heli-Hansen ran jacket, a Mountain equipment red jacket, loose change and an I-pod.

Nanaimo file # 2020-12747 At approximately 7 pm on Sunday April 5th, thieves attempted to break into a home in the 400 block of Fourth St. The homeowner was gone for less than 15 minutes and during his absence, thieves attempted to pry open, unsuccessfully, the bolt lock on his front door. This is a good reminder, to ensure that all doors and windows are locked, regardless how long you absent for.

Nanaimo file # 2020-12811 Sometime overnight on Monday April 6th, thieve stole a white F-350 pickup with BCL MF2134, from the 7000 block of Industrial Road in Lantzville.

Nanaimo file # 2020-12800 Sometime overnight on Monday April 6th, a semi-trailer stored at Diamond Delivery, located at 1011 Old Victoria Road was broken into. The lock securing the load was broken off allowing thieves to make off with with upwards of $5000 in cigarettes and candy, that was destined for local convenience stores.
