Over the next several months, the Nanaimo RCMP will be profiling individuals with outstanding warrants for their arrest stemming from allegations in Nanaimo. Some of the warrants have been on the system for several years while others were recently issued.

With the power of social media, we hope to locate these individuals, where ever they may be, and hold them accountable for the crimes they have allegedly committed. If you have information on their whereabouts, please call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.

#1 Percy KHAMBATA (57-12-12) Age 62

Wanted for: Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace
Descriptors: non-white male, 5 ft.4, 200 pounds, grey hair and known to wear a beard
Details of warrant: On the evening of June 27th 2019 the downtown Commercial St market was in full swing with hundreds of people wandering about the streets sampling wears and food offered by the many vendors. Around 7:15 pm several people heard yelling and screaming from an individual who appeared to be directing his rage at some vendors. Several calls to 911 said this person was brandishing a knife in a menacing and threatening way.
Prior to police arriving, KHAMBATA got into a physical confrontation with another male who managed to hold Khambata until police arrived. The 6-inch serrated knife that KHAMBATA was seen with, was located nearby and seized by police.

KHAMBATA entered a plea of not guilty and court date of February 3rd,2020 was set. Khambata failed to appear and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Investigators have been unable to locate KHAMABATA and believe he may have moved out of province.



#2 Harley Rae JACKSON (83-12-03) age 36

Descriptors: White male, 5 ft. 9, 180 pounds, black hair
Tattoos on right and left wrist of Celtic design
Details of warrant: On the evening of June 25th 2019 the owner of the Travellers Lodge on Nelson St, called police to report hearing voices and footsteps walking in the upstairs of his building. The building is privately owned and the caller indicated there should be no one other than himself present. Police attended and found extensive damage to interior walls where it appears, individuals had cut through the dry wall to access copper piping. Outside the building, an adult male was located nearby and arrested while the investiation continued. Jackson was later released from police custody. 
Forensic Identification specialists attended and based on their examination and findings,  Jackson was identified as being in the building. An arrest warrant was issued and to date, officers have been unable to him.
